White Pearl™ WQVGA 0.32” Color LCD Optical Module 

The White Pearl™ is a compact Optical Module aimed for commercial or industrial applications. It integrates a transmissive WQVGA 0.2” Color LCD (428 x 240 resolution), an efficient waveguide backlight, and curved prism optics with nanostructures.

The White Pearl provides a bright full-color image with less than 0.5% distortion in a 14.5° field of view and comfortably large eye box (8 x 5 mm) and eye relief (22.5 mm).

The White Pearl and Kopin’s A230 Display Driver ASIC together consume less than 100 mW at display brightness of 1000 cd/m², sufficient for outdoor usage. Further system power savings are achievable using capabilities on the ASIC and LCD. A Frame Buffer memory residing on the ASIC offers Video Overlay capability.
